Ben Too Big for the Club?

I see Ben has an appearance scheduled at Jubilation for the release of SA’s Longshot that features his winning beer. The event is scheduled 4/17 from 2pm-4pm, the same time as the Identic-Ale tasting at De Smet Farms. 
Guess, I will miss out on having a bottle of Mile High Barleywine signed by BEN….

Yeah, the timing totally bites, like how the State Fair awards picnic is always same time as one of Marble’s fests. Ryan: “You’re coming on Saturday, right?” Me: “No, I can’t come drink beer, because I have to go drink beer.” I guess the idea is that if a meteorite hits one place, the whole beer-lovin’ community won’t be wiped out all at once.
I’m gonna try to con my little brother into being my proxy at Jubilation. “Barley wine is really gross, dude, you don’t want that. But I’ll give you some extra money so you can pick up a pack of Mirror Pond for yourself.” He *might* fall for that. If I’m lucky.

lol, yeah it was too bad they scheduled this at the same time as the Identic-Ale Tasting. I wanted to make it down to DeSmet for that. I was at the mercy of the local Sam Adams rep though. At first I thought it was scheduled for the day of the EBC judging… thankfully that didn’t happen!
Let’s see if the picnic and Marble’s Septemberfest are on the same day again this year! Would really be nice to be able to hit both of these events.
