Welcome to the Dukes of Ale Homebrew Club, Albuquerque, New Mexico serving the local homebrewing community by sharing ideas on what and how to brew, and by holding competitions.
Enchanted Brewing Challenge:
This years Enchanted Brewing Challenge will be judged on May 18th. All BJCP categories will be accepted. The special theme beers will be Belgian Session Beers – Wit, Belgian Pale Ale and Saison. The winner of the theme beer competition will be paired with Il Vicino for a pro-am submission to this year’s GABF. The entries must be submitted and received by May 3.
Meeting, Wednesday, April 2nd, starting 6:30pm, at the Bird of Paradise -Antonio’s Cafe and Cantina, 5409 Gibson Blvd SE, Albuquerque, 268-1424.We will talk about:Barrel Aging Homebrew project (Bourbon Barrel Quad); A beer week (May 23) activity with Tractor Brewing Co.; Announce the competition at the May Dukes meeting for selecting homebrew beers to serve at the tasting session for beer week (Blues and Brews @ Sandia Casino – May 25); The April 5th club brew at Marble; The May 3rd Big Brew at Victor’s; Gage interest in a Mashing tutorial some weekend in April; Talk about and demonstrate stir plates; tasting of beers that you bring.
